MUNCH

For the opening of the Munch Museum in Oslo, we had the incredible opportunity to design a bespoke stationery collection for the museum shop. We named it National Treasure, drawing inspiration from the iconic artwork of Edvard Munch. The collection includes notebooks, greeting cards, folders, notepads, and pencil cases—each piece paying homage to his legacy.

The Museum gave us access to the entirety of its archives, including 1,200 paintings, 18,000 prints, six sculptures, as well as 500 plates, 2,240 books, and various other items. With access to his all this, we were amazed by the sheer impact of Munch´s artistry. From this starting point we developed carefully curated colour palettes and designed patterns that offer a contemporary interpretation while staying true to the essence of his work. We also selected some of his most powerful quotes to feature on the cards, further deepening the connection to his vision.

Being part of this project was both a dream and an honour—a tribute to one of Norway’s most celebrated artists.
